Admiration for Snowy!

Goodmorning everybody!

I just came from the blog of Snowy and my God, that girl has an energy and determination! Well, if I look back in time when I had the same age I was a bit the same, but she does beat me in it LOL! Perhaps you know she is busy redecorating her appartment and did already a large part, but now she will start with the living room, the biggest part of it all. I think it will look lovely by the time it is done and I am very curious to see the result! Above all she is very creative and rather handy and it should give everybody a bit of inspiration, who might be planning some re-decorating, yeah!
Overhere it was a real "older-couple"weekend LOL! Oh don't misunderstand me, I was happy with it. As jan and I did a nice job on Friday, we took it easy on Saturday and also on the Sunday, although Sunday I did a few minor jobs in the house. I did have a chats with Su again, and when we have one it's mostly not just for 10 minutes LOL, It's nice and a good way of getting to know eachother a bit better. Designing wise I could be a bit satisfied with myself, managed to get a kit ready and started two other ones. Even did some work on DD stuff, and made a little card for the Starchildren project blog, and also took some extra napps, wonderful!

Weather had become again a bit colder, althoughthere was a lot of sunshine. Then it looks so nice looking out of the window and then the garden calls at times, but when I open the door to it and feel the real temperature, no thanks, not yet good enough to spent a lot of time there. And it really needs a "face-lift"! Always looks a bit poor after winter but this year really there has to be done some serious work again. So springtime should become a rather busy time, let's enjoy for the moment the relatively slow activity, a good time to build up some extra muscle power LOL and hope for a long and good spring and summer time with lots of days filled with sunshine and nice temperatures.


Already nect month Easter will be there and I made you an Easter kit, it will be here in a 3 days download. Not that it is such a big kit, but it buys me a bit more time finishing the other kits I already started LOL.

At last to the haridresser.

Goodmorning everybody!

It was still nice weather when I had to go to do "my stuff"yesterday, although it felt a bit cold, because ot the wind. But I did all that was necessary, including making an appointment for the hairdresser for today. Finally, I did that too! It's needed hard, because my hair is too long now and it's hard to handle it LOL. So this afternoon I will feel a lot better, I suppose.
Returning home I got a kind of little shock! Coming in I saw a little mess in the kitchen, and why was that? My hubby suddenly seemed to have a blow of the spring-fever and was busy giving the kitchen a good clean up! Oh my, he's not so often into those kind of things but when he does, he is thourough! So lots of things were moved of its place, cleaned too, re-arranged etc. Then the best thing for me to do is abandoning the spot where he does his things! Hahahaha. But it had a kind of infection-effect on me too. So I took some vases and pots which are standing on some cupboards and gave them a good clean. Oh whee, it's just when you take them off that you see the colour change they undergo in time! Ooooooppppppsssssss! Now they are standing at their place again, all shining and bright, and it feels good!
It was a sweet thing of Jan to do, don;t you think so?

Then I also managed to work a little bit on a challenge from the forum, posted already a few preview for a future daily download there, advanced on a kit I am making, even almost have finished another mini-kit and also printed out a few tutorials for my new program PSE8. Wow, at least that is a start, now I have to try to use them actually and by doing each time a little tutorial I hope some day to be able to actually work with that program. Don;t expect wonders, oh no, it will take a loooong time to get there!
Now I have to arrange those tutorials in a map in a way I can find them back again if needed( and I will need to re-read them lots of times LOL).
Well, in all it was a rather succesful day, I think.

Hey let's go on to the freebie for today! Yes, I have to move a bit quicker, because of the appointment at the hairdresser. It's a kit about a knight I think almost everybody knows from their youth. I rememeber being fascinated as child by the tv series I watched so many years ago and later reading the book from Sir Walter Scott. Does that give you a hint or not? Okay, the kit is called "Ivanhoe". May be it brings back a few memories to you too!

Looking great outside

Goodmorning everybody!

Well. the council elections are done, let's see what that will give for the town after they formed the real council, haha! If this is an indication for the government election in 3 months it could be interesting, but people can change rather quick from opinion.
Not much exciting to tell about yesterday. In fact you could describe it as a rather dull day, which I don;t mind, as you know.
May be I will take a half hour or so this afternoon in the garden, if weather stays the way it looks at the moment. Temperature is a bit lower than last year this time of year, but sun is doing it's best to shine, and that already makes you feel a bit better. Have to go out today, must get new medicins and must have a refill for my printer cartridges. I might even make an appointment at the haridresser and have to do a few grocerie shopping
As always work enough to be done on the computer. New challenges are posted on the forum, have to work on some new freebies, so I think I will have a nice filled day LOL.
Now that the Gemstones serie is finished time for a "normal"freebie, and I have a small kit for you.
I named it 'Silence" and perhaps some of you can use it for a great layout.

Gosh, election day today!

All seems to go well again with the Gemstone project. Glad it does! Yesterday another strange thing happened. I suddenly lost the bloglayout, it said tiny pic did remove it, or in some way it was gone. I looked in my account and it still was there. Strange! Well, I put it back then again. The same happened to the Starchildren Project blog( I am allowed to do things on it, but I don't post there, it's after all Minky's blog!). I managed to put that back too. I did the shopping yesterday, and it was rather nice weather, quit sunny, not yet too warm but it all looked a lot friendlier! Today also looks to be fine, well, we should go out then. In fact we have to do as obediant citizens, because it's election day today, to elect a new  town council. Oh joy, it makes such a difference when the "people"choose the parties in the council. As in the government also in the council we have the choice between a lot of different parties( not e.g. like in America, you have Democrates and Republicans and that's it). Oh no, at least 6 major parties from left side to right side thinking and then some more smaller ones plus real local ones too. I suppose we should take the chance to vote, as we have the right, but I always wonder if that will change a lot. Then the "big"government fell apart about two weeks ago, so we have a temporarily government at the moment and there will be elections in first week of June. I am not a really "political interested person"but of course I follow it a bit. Specially the last week, when there are debats at tv all the time between the parties. I will be curious for the outcome of the big elections, no idea yet what the coalition will be. 

Something I am really getting a bit upset about is about the process of the International Court here in The Hague against the former Serbian leader Karadzic! That's going on already more than a year! He is amongst others accused of violation of human rights and murder on about 8000 moslims during the war in Serbia(former a part of Yugoslavia). He manages to prospone the process all the time, by not accepting the lawyers, another time saying he didn't had enough time to prepare his defence and other excuses. The last thing I heard was he denied that it were 8000 people, it might JUST have been a few hundred, may be at the most 2000, which isn;t that bad because it was war time! Well, I am not going to explain the whole process, but I think it is offending for all the relatives of te murdered people that it has to take that long to get him convicted for a lot of terrible things, and probably he will manage to prospone it even months longer. And the costs of that kind of court are immense too! Okay, all has to be done with care and must be well prepared, but there are facts proven that just cannot be denied, so why let it drag and drag and drag along! By the time court will have done it's judgement and spoken out the verdict, lots of people even will not know what it was all about! I do hope he will get the severest punishment possible, life long sentence!

Oh my, how serious this post has become! Time to get our mind again to some happier stuff, like the last part of the Gemstone serie, yeah! This will be U-Z, in which is missing ONE letter, the X. Could find something for that. On the different sites I looked around for that, there was no special gemstone with an X, so sorry, I did my best! Goodmorning everybody!

Oh whee, my mailbox had some messages from aweful nice people, sending me pages from the D Gemstone file. It was a pity that till now, nobody had a really good Gemstone D paper(the one with gemstone and description on it) I don;t know why the file got corrupted, but people who could at least open it, seem to have a kind of gradients paper, in two colours of green, not as it should be. But I am so grateful to all that took the effort to look and send it to me. Scrap-people are a special kind of human beings.! Well, I suppose I still have to remake the D, I will try it to look as much as the original, promise.!

Yesterday actually it was the first day this year I worked a bit in the garden! Temperature was rather nice, so with a coat on, it was not bad at all. I re- arranged a bit the pots and planters, the working guys put all over the garden, I cleaned up the ivy a bit that is growing against the wall, it's a nice plant, always green, but it can grow terrible over the top, yak! So I haven't done very much but it's a start at least! Soon Jan and I both will be working in the garden to re-arrange the path we have to the back, and oh my, I prepare myself already for it. I am sure there will be some struggle between us, aout the actual place where it has to come and how it must be done etc. Brrrrrrrrr, as we are both rather strong headed it won;t be an easy job, LOL. Okay, in the end we will comprimise I suppose and all will be well again.

No more news about Heidi for the moment. I just left her a bit in peace, but today or tomorrow I will at least call her to inform how she is doing, or may be I will pay a little visit.
Just before writing my post I looked at Edna's blog to see if she has posted and yes, she did. She is now at her holiday spot in Florida, the lucky girl! It seems to be fine weather and she already took advantage of it, despite of her foot, to visit a fleamarket. I suppose, we won;t get too many posts from her during this time, cause she only has one internet connection rather nearby with opening and closing hours. It is may be a good thing, there isn;t a full time internet connection in her building or appartment, leaves her more time to go to photoshoots and all kind of nice things outdoors. Hahahaha.

Okay, we will try again some Gemstones. Let's see if this lot will do it;s job and will open just as it should, without any corrupted file! I surely hope so. This one is the serie P-T.

All kind of unexpected things

Goodmorning everybody!

As first I have to say about the Gemstone download A-E. It seems there is trouble in downloading it. There seems to be a corrupted file in it. Normally no problem, but I don't have the original files anymore because of the computer crash. Oh my, problem! There is the letter D Gemstone paper missing, and here's my question: IS THERE ANYBODY WHO DOWNLOADED THE FILES WITHOUT AN ERROR AND CAN MAIL ME JUST THE GEMSTONE D MAIN PAPER?
I would be very grateful and so the people who could not download it properly. If nobody has, you will have to wait a little while, because I will have to remake the paper. I will try to make it look almost the same(missing the overlay too and such!).
So I am working on it and will let you know when I have uploaded the letters, okay? Oh whee, what a trouble!

Friday was a VERY hectic day!! I told you just in the Friday post all was going not too bad for Heidi, but just when I had finished the post I got a phonecall from her, all in tears and bit of panic.She has PPH and needs Flolan continuously, which is going into her body through a infuse and a portcat in a vain in her chest. But suddenly the little tube was blocked by something. Her husband wasn't home at that moment, going for a checkup himself. I still was in pyjamas, but right away I just jumped into some clothes, didn;t even comb my hair and run off to her of course. Within 15 minutes I was at her house. Now she isn;t far from me, but still I need to walk about 10 minutes. So I was like Roadrunner! Coming there, husband was back, so Heidi had calmed down a bit and after a few minutes they left for Amsterdam, to the hospital. I stayed home with their daughter, to wait for grandpa who would pick her up. What a desillusion that was for Heidi. Happy all was going rather good, no operation yet needed, and now this. If they couldn;t unblock the tube, probably it would be necessary to put in a new one and that would mean an operation and staying a few days in hospital and such unpleasant things.
So we had to wait for news. In the meantime grandpa came, and I went home again. Right away I had to do the shopping, came home in a record time LOL sat down for a moment and then went back to Heidi's to let the dog out for his walk. Pfffffff, then home again, I was glad I could stay there! In the evening I had a phoncall from Heidi, that she was home again, they manage to unblock the tube, so all was again as it should be. But it wasn't a nice day, with all those nerves and uncertainty etc.

Now you can understand I didn;t do much on Saturday!! Well a bit on the computer and chatting in the eening with one of the forum team members. You always think you can keep it within a certain time, but as I looked at the clock when we were finished we took about two hours! Gosh, and we talked about lots of different things. However, it was nice.

And you may have noticed the new Magickal Scraps Daily download on top of the blog. Only it should be a slideshow and I don;t see a slideshow for now! May be I did something wrong when posting it, but I am still waiting for Snowy to contact me. Could be, she didn;t mailed us the right code for it. But.... not a big deal, the slideshow is working on http://silversnowyraven.blogspot.com/, so you can always take a look there. It's another lovely DD, you get a real spring feeling just looking at it.!

Okay, now you get annother part of the Gemstones, I truly hope this download causes no troubles. And you know,as soon as I have the missing one(s) ready I will post the link. Just give me a bit of time please!!
