Gosh, election day today!

Goodmorning everybody!

All seems to go well again with the Gemstone project. Glad it does! Yesterday another strange thing happened. I suddenly lost the bloglayout, it said tiny pic did remove it, or in some way it was gone. I looked in my account and it still was there. Strange! Well, I put it back then again. The same happened to the Starchildren Project blog( I am allowed to do things on it, but I don't post there, it's after all Minky's blog!). I managed to put that back too. I did the shopping yesterday, and it was rather nice weather, quit sunny, not yet too warm but it all looked a lot friendlier! Today also looks to be fine, well, we should go out then. In fact we have to do as obediant citizens, because it's election day today, to elect a new  town council. Oh joy, it makes such a difference when the "people"choose the parties in the council. As in the government also in the council we have the choice between a lot of different parties( not e.g. like in America, you have Democrates and Republicans and that's it). Oh no, at least 6 major parties from left side to right side thinking and then some more smaller ones plus real local ones too. I suppose we should take the chance to vote, as we have the right, but I always wonder if that will change a lot. Then the "big"government fell apart about two weeks ago, so we have a temporarily government at the moment and there will be elections in first week of June. I am not a really "political interested person"but of course I follow it a bit. Specially the last week, when there are debats at tv all the time between the parties. I will be curious for the outcome of the big elections, no idea yet what the coalition will be. 

Something I am really getting a bit upset about is about the process of the International Court here in The Hague against the former Serbian leader Karadzic! That's going on already more than a year! He is amongst others accused of violation of human rights and murder on about 8000 moslims during the war in Serbia(former a part of Yugoslavia). He manages to prospone the process all the time, by not accepting the lawyers, another time saying he didn't had enough time to prepare his defence and other excuses. The last thing I heard was he denied that it were 8000 people, it might JUST have been a few hundred, may be at the most 2000, which isn;t that bad because it was war time! Well, I am not going to explain the whole process, but I think it is offending for all the relatives of te murdered people that it has to take that long to get him convicted for a lot of terrible things, and probably he will manage to prospone it even months longer. And the costs of that kind of court are immense too! Okay, all has to be done with care and must be well prepared, but there are facts proven that just cannot be denied, so why let it drag and drag and drag along! By the time court will have done it's judgement and spoken out the verdict, lots of people even will not know what it was all about! I do hope he will get the severest punishment possible, life long sentence!

Oh my, how serious this post has become! Time to get our mind again to some happier stuff, like the last part of the Gemstone serie, yeah! This will be U-Z, in which is missing ONE letter, the X. Could find something for that. On the different sites I looked around for that, there was no special gemstone with an X, so sorry, I did my best!
