Good morning everybody!
I certainly got a good sleep, just woke up for a moment at night but went back to sleep again and oh whee, I did sleep sound and woke up late this morning. It's messing up a bit my schedule for today, not that I had planned a lot(LOL), but it makes the morning pass too quickly.
We have Liberation day today, 5th of May we celebrate the liberation of the Germans in 1945.
Yesterday was the day, we remember all the death of that aweful war, as also the death of later wars.
We have a two minutes silcence at 20.00 o'clock, and it always gives me a shiver watching it at tv, when they play The Last Post and later our National Hymn.
So today is a much happier day, and it looks to be a fine day, for the moment sun is shining bright.
I don;t know if we will go out or stay home and have a bit of garden time.
In the weekend we did sit and also worked a bit in the garden, which was so nice.
Friday I did just a bit of shopping and when I came home I got a kind of shock LOL.
Entering the hallway I saw standing a bucket and Jan busy in the kitchen, cleaning the kitchen floor.
I admit it was neceassary, but on the other hand I was a bit angry with him, because it is too straining for his back and I know he had to pay for it in the evening and next day.
Perhaps today he wants to put on the linoleum cover on the floor. It would give a different at the kitchen for sure.
In the evenings I could knit again, watching the tv. But I had to wait with my throw over, because I ran out of yarn. And as a lot of shops are closed today, I will have to wait till tomorrow, and buy it.
In the mean time I started knitting blocks with different patterns with some yarn-left over. I always have left overs from other projects I did, and it is a pity not to use it.
If I will have the courage to make a LOT more blocks, may be it will turn into another afghan.
Okay, I will finish now, and then jump into the bathroom to have a shower and then we;ll see what mischieve we can get into today.
I have a kit for you, but will post the clusters from Arlene next time.
Kit is named "Give me a Smile".
Have a wonderful day!

Another lovely kit from you. I don't know where you get all your energy to do all that you do. I do hope Jan slows down just a bit so as not to antagonize his back.
Gosh, I know the feeling when you run out of yarn in the middle of a project. It makes me quite anxious. That's why I try to have a little extra materials on hand just in case.
I can't wait to see photos of your sofa cover when it is finished. I have never taken on such a large knitting project. I have made a chrochet bed spread, but I'm not in a hurry to make another one. lol.
I too. will be making some squares with my left over yarns soon, and hopefully there will be enough of them to make something nice. We shall see.
Enjoy your day of celebration. Hugs, Edna B.
Good morning Kyra:)
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and leaving another sweet comment for me.:)
I finally got back here to read of your adventures. Your walk to the beach and all you encountered on your way...sounds like a lovely day.I really do appreciate your sharing your walks with me.The photos help me to enjoy the trip with you.:) I would LOVE to see the town and shops you visit when you do your shopping..if you don't mind us seeing them? Also... to see how far you have come on your afghan since you have done some more to it.:)
I know what you mean about being slow with the designing of your kits. I think it must have a name..because we ALL seem to go through those times. Writers have writing blocks and designers must have designing blocks.LOL
The weather is a huge topic these days..also..graduation time, birthday's and Anniversaries..baby's being born, vacations, swimming at the pools and beaches, mowing grass and trimming hedges. Easter and cookouts, walks in the park etc.Puppies and kitties being born, home repairs (mopping floors);)I know..it's easy for me since I don't design anymore.LOL I truly appreciate all the time and effort you put into your kits!
Huge hugs my friend!!
Valinda
I am so happy for you to have a liberation day. When I was doing my family genealogy I sent off for my father's service records. I thought he had spent the war in Texas peeling potatoes like my step father had said. I found out that he was in Germany in 1945 in a tank liberating Doc Chau(sp) prison camp Since it was minimal here on this continent it isdn't something we really get into but I'll celebrate today with you and I'll put my flag up out front.
Now I'll say Thank you for the adorable kit Give me a smile!!
Hello and Thank you for this lovely download.
It is important to remember the sacrifices made and the freedom gained.
I hope you were able to enjoy your Liberty Day...
This is another lovely kit, I think I am caught up with reading your blog and saving the kits...I am so behind with my scrapping, but I have been busy doing other things and the excessive heat and wind makes me so very sleepy as I have shut my windows and cut the AC on (I hate having to do that so early in the year) but 96F is too warm not to. I am still a little sore from all the repotting of plants and I have been on this computer for a few minutes so am now yawning and nodding so think I will go take a nap. Thanks so much for the lovely kit. Chat more later. Lots of hugs sent to you! Mat
