A day of housekeeping

Goodmorning everybody!

Although most of the Christmas decorating is done now, I always find a little thing to add, or change LOL!
Sometimes you feel something is missing or not right decorated yet, but it takes a couple of days of watching and thinking, before you know for sure LOL.
So I made two littls decorations, for at the mantle piece, all made of things I already had in "stock".
With just simple things you can reach a nice effect.
One is made in a crystal glass, the second in a crystal bowl, some green out of the garden, and a couple of chrstmastree decorations.

Simple hey? I just added some tissue paper in the glass and a bit of water( as in the bowl too), so that the greenery will stay a bit fresh for a longer time)

Not too much happened the last two days, I did already a lot of shopping, trying to get all things needed for Christmas before the terrible crowd will be present inthe supermarket and shops!
Today I probably will stay in, planned to do some housekeeping, which always is necessry.
But who knows, plans might change easily LOL, no, without kidding I do have to take care of a few things in the house, but may be in the afternoon I pop out to go to the market or perhaps town centre. Don;t know yet for sure.

Also had a bit of time, so I could do a little designing, great to relax somewhat from the days before.
I did manage also to get my christmas cards posted, and oh boy, postage prizes have gone up again. It;'s almost no fun these days to buy a couple of stamps or send something by the mail.
But then this occurs about once a year, so we can prepare ourselves for it ROFL.

The weather is still rather kind to us in our part of the world. I think last night we might have had a bit of frost, but only 1 or 2 degrees, and in daytime we are still a few degrees above zer, and by next week temps will even go up some more. Hopefully the snow and ice will stay away from us, at the lest as long as possible, how much I do love the view of fresh fallen snow, it's no pleasure to walk through it in the city, I think it should only snow in big parcs, and country areas whee no people will have trouble because of it, or in the woods. Then it is a beautiful sight LOL!

Porbable no surprise to you that I will post another Christmas kit? ( I still have enough Christmas stuff till Christmas and may be even some after too).
This kit, "Enchanting Woodland Christmas" is really a sweet one, perhaps nice to scrap a few layouts with children.  Really like the clusters Arlene made, they have something tender about them, don;t you think?
Anyway, here it is, and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and stay safe and warm in the parts of the world where winter really has knocked on your door!

Hello Kyra !
Thank you very much for all your magical Christmas kits, and of course thanks to Arlene for her beautiful clusters because they are so useful.
The little owl is so cute, and your papers are fantastic, as always !
I have never seen so many Christmas decorations and lights, this is wonderful !! thank you for sharing them with us.
Here the snow has gone but we have a freezing fog and we have to be very careful.
I wish you a wonderful and quiet weekend.
Hugs,
Florence

I love your new decorations. They really are quite festive. Sorry to hear how cold it is there for you. We are not quite that cold, but we will be getting some snow and ice over the weekend. You and Arlene have done another wonderful job with the kit. Just beautiful. I have just put in a call to my boss that I will not be going out to work in this bad weather. Somehow, I don't think she is going to be very happy about it, but oh well. Now I'm off to catch up on my blog reading and post my own. You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.

Thank you, thank you for another lovely, lovely kit and Arlene's is so cute too. You both make scrapbooking so much fun and so easy to do.
Love your little creations with the glass and bowl too, very pretty indeed. I finally got my live wreath for my door that I ordered from the Boy Scouts....it smells so good.
We finally got rain yesterday that has melted a lot of the ice, but with all the melting and dripping today from the roof it still sounds like it is raining...LOL!
Have a fabulous weekend ahead. Many hugs sent your way! Mat
