Happy Birthday to ME LOL!
Goodmorning everybody!
Yeah, I;ve made it to another year of my life, ROFL!
Yesterday, just after midnoght, Jan turned to me with a BIG, naughty smile on his face, and said this to me( well, more or less in this words):
"Oh my, it's a quarter past midnight, you are having your birthday. Well, congratulations and happy birthday to you, OLDER woman!" ( and gave me a big kiss).
Okay, he had his moment of fun ( and I don't mind LOL).
Yesterday we worked hard and got rid of all the Christmas decorations, packed them into boxes again and stuffed them away. it took some time, but takes less time than putting them all up.
Till now I didn;t find anything we overlooked to pack, but we often think that and suddenly somewhere, after a couple of days, a little decoration peeps up. Perhaps we did a real thourough job this year????
After all was gone, I gave the house a real good vacuum cleaner treatment and now we have our "" normal"house back again!
Still it needs a little bit time to get used to that again too! As jan and I sat o the couch in the evening, we looked at eachother with a kind of "sad"face and had to admit, that we missed a bit the Christmas lights LOL!
Our cat Brodski also was a bit uneasy yesterday, with us moving around the place, also moving around some furniture etc. And worst for him was the time I took out the vacuum cleaner. As soon as he hears that ( already the sound of the little wheels is enough! he hates the thing!))he makes a run to the kitchen and in one move to the outside. ! There he waits, till the moise is gone, and comes in some time after it, and then is happy to get back on his chair and take another nap LOL!
We didn;t make it to the market on Monday, so that will be our goal today. We could do with some veggies and fruit and cheese too and I hope to find a new shopping car there too! The one I am using now, is almost falling apart after many years of good service. I taped it a bit together, but that will not hold very long. Okay, that will be my birthday present hahahahaha!
But it's a good one, because I would miss it badly, if I cannot do my shopping anymore with a little car. It's a lot easier doing the grocerie shopping with the car, carrying all the stuff by hand is no option.
Weather looks to be not too bad today, temps are still rather well with more or less + 46 F, , bit windy, but we even might see some sunshine.
I think that will be about all we do today( we were a little bit pooped out yesterday), and I think I;ll have to do some washes tomorrow, the normal laundry is piling up already, and then I want to wash all Christmas plaids and mats etc. so they will go clean into the closet for next time.
Well, enough rambling for now, let's dig up a freebie for you! Today I have the kit I made my bloglayout with, nemed "Frozen Memories". Another winter kit, and a lovely add-on from Arlene, two clusters and one sweet quickpage!

Let's enjoy last day of Christmas lights!
Goodmorning everybody!
Our weekend was quiet, filled with just little things that had to be done, but also with lots of "free-time"LOL!
On the weather part we still cannot complain. Temperatures stay around 46 to 50 F daytime, there will be a bit more rain, the only thing that is a bit less nice is we have some stronger winds.
But hey, I am not really complaining. It may be that by next week temperatures will drop a bit, even could happen that at night we reach the zero point, or perhaps 1 or two degrees beneath.
This morning just saw on the news some pictures of parts of the US with the snow and cold.
Oh my, it is not a thing I would like to have around here!
Today is the last day we will have our Christmaslights on, I just placed the three wise men in the manger, as it is the 6th of January. Then tomorrow we will remove all Christmas stuff, hopefully we can do it in one day.
And then Wednesday I will have my birthday(already 61, brrr), not that I will have a big party or whatever. We let it happen in silence LOL, but perhaps I will make something extra nice for dinner, we will see.
Then again Jan will have his 3 weeks of happiness, yeah! Then he can say he is younger than his wife!
it's always kind of joke we have almost as trdition over the years, grin!
And 3 weeks later he will reach his 61th too!
I pronounce the figure, but although I sometimes feel older than it, most of the time I don;t actually realize I am in my 60's. At times the body may act like it, but still the mind and heart are feeling much younger, and as long as that's the case, there is still hope ROFL!
It was quit a busy time in the weekend at tv, you know, Suddenly the different channels all come up with new series, and we tried to watch several of them to see if they are any good to keep following. Well, some of them are off our list already(what a relief, we wouldn;t have time to see all of them), but a couple were not bad at all. And it will be nice, to have something new to watch in the next months.
Time to slowly get into gear, and if weather stays a bit like now(hopefully the wind will slow down a bit) we might take a walk to the market, cause we could do with some fresh things.
And if not, there is still enough to do in the house( less attractive to do, but not to escape from hahaha).
I have another winter kit for you, "Cold but Cozy", with a terrific add-on from Arlene( she has TWO quickpages for you!).
Hope all of you who have to deal with the snow and cold will stay safe, all the other ones, who have a bit better weather conditions, will cherish it and be happy with it!

Just a few more days with Christmas decorations
Goodmorning everybody!
Still love to wake up, take my coffee and then go into the room and turn on the lights in the Christmastree, LOL. We still will have a couple of days more our Christmas decorations, just till the 6th of January, when we place the 3 wisemen in the manger. And next day we will try to get rid of all the decorations.
I always will have to survey Jan a bit in doing that, cause I always want to put all things a bit ordered in the boxes, so it will be easy to find them enxt year. LOL!
Curious to see what item we will forget this year. Almost every year there is one little item, we overlooked and after a couple of days we spot it!
It doesn;t look all too bright outside at the moment. But perhaps a bit later today, we might even get a glimps of sunshine, although the wind still is blowing too hard to my liking.
Oh well, we still shouldn;t complain, we have till now no sign of real winter coming our way, and I am happy about it.
I saw this morning at the news on tv the pack of snow that is hitting the NE of the USA, wow, that's no fun anymore! I hope everybody is safe, and will stay so!
Not too much happening here at the moment. We are trying to get back in usual rythm, after all the festivities and lingering on, and we will get there, slowly LOL.
Will have to do a bit of shopping today, we are running out of some things, but I don;t mind going out today. A bit of walking will do me good, after those days of hanging around on the couch and not doing a lot.
I better finish now this post, take another coffee and then try to get busy again.
I havea completely different kit for you today( well, different from Chrismaskits and winter kits)
named The Alternative Way. I think it's a mix of some steampunk and a little bit of mixed media.
Have a preview of the kit plus one of only the papers to give you a better idea of the kit.

Yeah, we've made it to 2014!
Goodmorning everybody!
HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!!!!!
I hope, it will be a good year to all of you! Let us first hope we all will stay in good health, because then we can cope with a lot more unpleasant things, if they might occur!
And we hope for a little bit more luck, some of us can do with that!
Plus that we can laugh a lot, and share precious moments with our loved ones, yes, may life smile at us with a big smile this year!
We spent some good last days of 2014, I had to go out on Tuesday for a little bit of shopping, but i was glad I only needed a few things at the supermarket, it was so crowdy there!
When home again, I quickly changed our bedsheets, gave also a quick vacuum cleaning to the house and after that I made us a soup for dinner later.
The evening was quiet, we watched some nice programs at tv, and waited for the clock at midnight! Watched a bit of fireworks in the street(we stayed in, we had a rather good view from the window), and I went to bed rather early.
Jan stayed up a bit later, so now I am awake and he is still sleeping, well, he needs it, so I will wait to wake him up till about noon, then the New Years Concert from Vienna will be on tv, and we watched that every year. it's a nice start of the new year.
I think we will have a very lazy day today, and tomorrow we will have to get back into "normal life rythm"again LOL!
To start this new year I have a winter kit for you, named "Sweet Winter", with some fantastic clusters from Arlene!
