Usua...I will comment on the disk partition for you. Usually you have to format the partition when there is nothing on the drive at all yet. Often, when you get a computer they have already made a second partition where they put back-up Operating System (OS)files. But once the disk partition is made, be it one big one like yours or many smaller segments, you cannot change the size(s) without reformatting which erases your data, including your OS, in your case Vista. There may be a program you can purchase that will allow you to do what you want without erasing your data, make sure it is Vista compatible before you buy it. My experience with this is only XP and external hard drives, Vista may have some added features or quirks! I might just make some folders at the level of the My Documents folder for what I wanted to keep separate. Hope this helps!elizlomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17036954827901521082noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8863343108061337120.post-11623895853542121712008-08-18T18:30:00.000+02:002008-08-18T18:30:00.000+02:00What you probably want is disk partitioning softwa...What you probably want is disk partitioning software. It's easier for those of us who aren't computer geniuses. I think you can get good ones from the free download sites like CNet.deadrosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11690295681600359304noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8863343108061337120.post-80019481193570943412008-08-18T16:52:00.000+02:002008-08-18T16:52:00.000+02:00Good Morning Kyra:) Thank you soo much for correct...Good Morning Kyra:)
Thank you soo much for correcting the link for your Arabian kit.:) I didn't make it back yesterday to get it.:)
Jim..my Dh said the easiest way for you to do the partitioning of your drive is to purchase a program for it."Norton Partition Magic" is a very good software for partitioning your hard drive. He just looked and it is $69.95 to buy the dwnld and another $9.95 if you want a CD sent to you. He said there are other methods to partition your drive using other methods but it is somewhat complicated and you would need to know the terminology in order to do it without messing up your files. He said in order to research it on your computer...

Go to 'Start" ..right click on "Computer" left click on "Manage" and then click "Help Topics" and then at the top menu..it says "Disk Management Welcome" click the "+" sign to expand the menu and then under "Manage Basic Volumes"..click the "+" and click "Shrink a Basic Volume" and you will find some some info about it and cautions too.:)Hope this helps.:)

Hugs,
ValindaVJ's Scrap Roomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04191323686448676797noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8863343108061337120.post-72808710472285550382008-08-18T13:54:00.000+02:002008-08-18T13:54:00.000+02:00Kyra, this one looks very very interesting.
