I am winner of a battle LOL!

Goodmorning everybody!

First a bit of news about Jan. He went to his specialist yesterday, control appointment and to hear how he is doing with the fluid retention. She was rather satisfied with him in all. She still thinks he is retaining a little bit too much, but it seems the new medication he received is doing a good job. Has to take two tables of it now for the next few weeks, to see if that is doing the job completely. Blood samples are okay, so no nasty side effect from his new added medication till now. Good news. Also she was satisfied with the kalium in his blood. It went down a bit, meaning the bit of effort we are doing to take in a bit less salt and using special salt with much less natrium in it is working.
He also spoke about his back, but she cannot help him with that any further.
However she was a bit surprised that the house doctor only gave him some paracetamol with codeine for it. well, discussing all this with Jan I carefully suggested that we make another appointment with the doctor this Monday, (and I will go too), to come to a possible solution for the case! Or he can do something or he has to give us a referral to a neurologue of something!
But........at least he will go there(up to now hahaha).

Weather here is not really bad, till now it stays dry and there is even some sunshine, but the wind makes i all feel much colder.
Never mind that, with a warm jacket and winter hat I can deal with it.
I think I will pop out for a quick shopping, not needing much, but mainly to get a bit of fresh air.

We have "free cooking"today, which mainly means I will not cook a meal, but we each think of something for dinner, which will be a very quick meal and we each prepare it for ourselves. Often Jan makes himself a bun with a hamburger, or something like that. I often make a pasta, or take a pizza.
You see, nothing difficult, and mostly "unhealthy"food ROFL. I LOVE days like that, specially just at the beginning of the weekend, which means I am sometimes lazy when it comes to the cooking. Not such a bad thing however, the other days I try to come up with some "decent"food.

It should be time now to get dressed, it's already late, but I had a long sleep this night till about 10.00 o'clock this morning wow! Better post the freebie now and get moving and thnk about my "dinner"this evening.
I am very pleased about the kit today. It's named "Beautiful Souls", all in blues, mainly a bit darker papers, but i think the effect can be great in layouts. ( I even made a word art that I found somewhere)And there are beautiful clusters to it from Arlene.
Wishing you all a very happy and relaxed weekend and meet again on Monday!

How is Arlene ? she did beautiful clusters ! I love her 2 frames with "beaufiful souls".
Thanks for your advice in digital scrapbooking, because I'm still a beginner, so every little thing is useful.

Great news about Jan, hopefully now he can concentrate on getting his back fixed. Praying for it to heal!
I love this new kit, the colors are terrific. Thank you and please tell Arlene the clusters are adorable and I appreciate them.
Since I have my house cleaned, my last load of clothes are in the dryer, I will spend my lazy day on Sunday to watch the Daytona 500 and then to catch the Oscars Sunday night.
Have a terrific weekend! Hugs, Mat

This sounds like good news for Jan, and that is wonderful. Hopefully his back can be set to right soon and he will be able to get around better.

I like your idea of a "free cooking" day. Pasta and Pizza are two of my favorites! Once in a while, I like grilled cheese sandwiches too. Mmmm.

You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.
