October started with nice weather

Goodmorning everybody!

Unbelievable but true, we had lovely weather. Well, it also rained, most of it was on Saturday but Sunday it was real nice weather, around 70-75 F, with some wind, but still unbelievable to have this in October. So yesterday we went to a shopping centre a bit further away from us, where there was a fair. These fairs are about all the same LOL, but it's an opportunity to go out and looking around is always fun.
And cause that wasn't far from the place Rob, brother of Jan, lives, naturally we stumbled upon him.We had a little chat and then made at last an appointment to visit him on Wednesday evening.
It was very easy for me to make dinner, because I had left over from Saturday. I bought a "roti with lamb", that is a Surinam food, little chunks of meat, special grean beans and potatoe in a kind of pancake. But a portion always is soo much we usually eat two days of it. Made just some salad with it and voilĂ , ready!
Then after dinner my hubby already prepared the meat for today, yeah!!!! I told you some time ago he made meatballs. They were not really bad, but not as he wanted them. So I had to buy minced meat for him and he wanted to give it another try. So he did yesterday evening. He gave me a little piece to taste and I think these are better. (I've made a quick picture of him in the kitchen, but don;t have it yet on the computer, LOL).

In between I was busy designing. Also came up with something for the brish challenge on the forum. We had to work with lace brushed and here the result:

Some bragbookpages with love quotes.
The word challenge, which was "PATH"this time:

Then I have been busy for Minky's special blog too! Not showing you all of it, but just to let you have an idea. If you like to have it go to the blog and read how you can get to the downloadlinks.

There are more: create your Bragbook kits to find there!

And now I've come to some sad news. Edna is going through a very difficult time at the moment with her brother Moo, who has cancer. It was stable for a time, but now it has come to a time with difficulties and lots more, in the weekend he was brought to a hospital in Boston to undergo an operation, you can all read it on her blog. I would ask everybody to go overthere and leave a little message for her, just as a support. They will both need it a lot for the time coming. And send a little prayer, or perhaps burn a small candle for them.
Thank you!

Time  for your freebie I suppose. Number 3 of the Back to the Roots2.
Have a lovely day.

Kyra, thank you so much for your caring and prayers. Moo says thank you too. The doctor thinks that maybe they can stabilize things without surgery. Moo says to tell you that he feels a tad better this morning. Not a lot, but definitely a little. He can almost open his hand. That is good too.

I will update on my post when I get home later on. You have a good day, hugs, Edna B.
