We try to keep ourselves a bit fit!

Goodmorning everybody!

Hope you all had a great weekend, and by my short bloghopping it seems, a lot happened here and there, LOL.
What about our weekend? It was a nice one too!
The most active day was Friday! It was a gorgeous weather, with sun, lovely skies, a little bit of wind, and good temperature, so I said Jan that we should go out for a walk. And boy, we did!!!
We left home at 2.00 a.m. and started walking to a nice neighbourhood of The Hague(called the Bird Quarter, all the streets there have bird names). Arriving at the beginning of that neighbourhood, we took a walk through a nice park there. We should go back there in a week, or may be two, because there are standing lots of blackberry bushes, yummie, and we could collect a big basket with them there! Then we continued walking to the west, through a little forrest, that is stretching itself all to the dunes. And you also notice that you are approaching the seaside, just looking at the vegetation in that forrest. Landscape in there is having small hills, bit sandy, covered with plants that can stand the seawind and salt air, trees are changing also, there you see lots of pines. It's really a beautiful area. So at the end we found ourselves at Scheveningen at the side of the harbours. There are several, some for yachting, some for commercial sport seafishing boats and of course for the fisherboats. Walking a bit though some of them, we came really near the seaside, not before we walked through some lovely little streets. Then we took a part of the boulevard(as we came this far I also wanted to see the sea, hey?), then walked again through a lovely street, where there are lots of little shops and then decided we take the tram back home. There we arrived at about 5 a.m. I think we walked around a 10-12 kilometers, not too bad!
I have a few pics to share with you from this walk, they are not that great but gives you an idea:
This is in the first parc we went to, itwas a pity that the waterlilies weren't blooking yet!
I just tried to catch a bit the play of sunlight, I love to see this contrasts. And in this area there were a lot of those blackberries!
In the parc/forrest approching already the dunes, see the pines?
Here we are really in the dunes, see what a marvellous weather it was? spledid colour of the sky!
The harbour for the yachts.
I have some more pics for you but I will save them for tomorrow.
Saturday the weather was not as good, rain showers from time to time, but we did go out for a moment, because near to us there was a kind of book and antique market, so that's always nice to look at the stuff. It was a pity that it was just very small, but I found there 3 books of the character Don Camillo, only for 3 Euro!
Oh I still rememeber well the old black and white films with the French actor Fernandel as Don Camillo! It were great and really humouristic films. So I was happy to find a ew books, reading them you can see the pictures of the film before your eyes!
Sunday it was home-day. Weather a bit better, even good enough to sit in the garden, although I also did the wash and some ironing and Jan amazed me! I lost him for a while when I was reading in the garden, so I was curious where he was, and found him in the kitchen, washing up all the glasses we have in a closet(and we have some, believe me! Wine glasses, beer glasses, liquor glasses, cognac glasses etc!). Wow, he was infected by a cleaning virus LOL!.But he did a swell job!! Sweet hey?
Well, I let him do his thing and did a little bit of designing at the computer in the meantime. I have made a small kit for the blog of my friend Minky, I'll show you the preview and if you like to have it you'll have to go over to her blog for the download!

Aren't you now a bit tired of my rambling? Time to reward you for your patience, I think, hahahaha!
I have a little kit for you, very soft coloured, named "Speak Softly".
Now you all have a fantastic day, I think I will have one too, at least the weather looks fantastic enough, should take profit of that! Till tomorrow.
