What a nervous evening!

Goodmorning everybody.

Yesterday early afternoon I went for a bit of shopping and as I came home Jan was sitting on the couch with a kind of help-asking face. He told me, that he was changing a little thing on the tv (just not 3 moths old) and suddenly he had no screenpicture anymore. Well, first I asked what he did, probably he touched a wrong button or so, I thought. He told me, I tried a few things out, but still............just one blue screen with nothing! Very strange. Took the installation book, perhaps it could help. NOT!!! Then also we couldn;t get the program numbers of the staions anymore, only one or two with an X in front of it. VERY WEIRD, So then I got EXTREMELY nervous, that was the last thing I needed. Boy, new tv and alreday broke???? Then I first wanted to do the freebielist but............ no internet!!! I gave up and called the store where we bought the tv. Perhaps the salesman there knew what was the matter with the tv. Explained, he didn't kow. It was something he never heard of yet (the X thing) So he typed in all and promised us that as soon as possible a repare guy would come to look at it. We all down, certainly Jan, the tv is his hold on for the moment. Well, after a while I made something to eat, Jan wanted to put up some music, almost no radio!! At that time already a small light was going to burn in my brain. Per haps something was wrong with the cable and internet provider. We spent a quiet evening, I got Jan on the chair at the computer and started him the Freecel game(for that no internet was needed). I took a book and finally finished it and did some crocheting. In between we listend to some cd's. On and off I checked on the internet, still nothing. At about 22.00 hours I checked the radio again, MIRACLE, it worked again. With little hope in my heart I sneeky tried the tv. even BIGGIGER MIRACLE!!! It worked again as smoothly as evenr. Boy, were we relieved! I already was making up a strategy how to get a new tv without paying and one equal to this one(we had the last one in that series in the store!!), etc.etc. Then I tried the internet again. It worked.!!!!!

So I suppose there was something wrong at the provider's yesterday, but it is VERY ANNOYING when you don;t know anything. My gosh, what a day.

I am glad that everything works again (I touched wood when I wrote this down!)

Well, I also have something nice to tell you. Yesterday, when all still was working, I received another award, it is from Vanessa, from http://memories01.wordpress.com/, and it's real nice one. Here is the award picture:

The award comes with this text:“A todas nos encanta los blogs, en la mayoría sus objetivos son mostrar las maravillas y hacer amistades; hay personas que no se interesan cuando les damos un premio y desta manera contribuyen a cortar esos lazos; ¿queremos que se corten o se propaguen?Entonces tratemos de prestar mas atención a ellos! Debemos entregarlo a 8 blogger’s que deben hacer lo mismo y poner el texto.”
Basically the sentiment behind the original award is that it is an award that not only highlights blogs that are pleasing or special in some way, but the award was also designed to extend the hand of friendship around the world.

My Spanish isn't good, so I can understand a little of it. It seems you have to give the award again to 8 other bloggers, but I think I will do a few less. The text that came with the award by Vanessa was also very sweet:

With a Russian/Dutch Heart Design: Kyra’s website otherwise known as “smiekeltje” is a lovely blog site. Kyra is a talented designer who writes from the heart and designs some truly beautiful kits. Thank you Kyra, I always enjoy reading through your site.

Now it's up to me to pass it on. How hard! I am not giving a big description why I chose these blogs. But you can guess, that is must be nice ladies, with wonderful freebies as extra and nice blogs to read.

Nore from http://www.noresnice-ities.blogspot.com/

Snowy from http://silversnowyraven.blogspot.com/

(I have to say this though: Always admired her work, it's very special and sooo beautiful. A kind of special lady, with a special creativity)

Linda from http://bonscrapatitdesigns.blogspot.com/

(I know, I pass a lot of awards to her, but although we do not communicate regular, she always is sending me such wonderful and uplifting messages, and her work is fabulous, and her blogposts are hilarious sometimes(a lot!). She is gifted with a lot of spirit to keep life bearable)

Melissa from http://sentimentalstyle.blogspot.com/

Just because I like her work a lot.

I keep it to these four, I know some more, of course, but there is a choice to be made.

And here is the freebie for today, with a simple name: Vivace. Hope you enjoy it.

Have all a nice day, hopefully this afternoon I can put up the freebielist!!!

Good Morning Kyra:)
Congratulations on your award! How cool!:)
Thank you soo much for the wonderful kits you share.I think I got caught up on your blog again.Dh was sick last week and then his back went out at the same time.I was his hands and feet for a few days. Then I caught his cold and was sick for a few days.I think we are on the mend now.:)
Soo sorry to hear about your hubby.I had to change the way I eat when I found out I have diabetes. It's no fun watching everyone eat the stuff you love and can't have.:( It's soo sweet of you to change your eating habits too.It will make it a lot easier on him.:)Just hope you can keep it up.I did for three years and then got tired of it.I need to get back on track.:)
I read that you started a blanket...I use to crochet before I discovered digi scrappin.LOL I made several throw blankets and made some bedspreads.I made a bedspread for my MIL one time. She has a king size bed.It took me almost a year to finish..cause it got so hot having the blanket on my lap the whole time.LOL I was sooo glad to see that one finished.:)Wintertime is a good time to crochet blankets.I made one years ago with granny squares for our queen size bed. That was a lot easier cause you can make them all ahead and then spend a little time piecing them together.:)I also made some with strips.KWIM? (Where you make a patterened strip over and over and piece the strips together.) That was interesting too.:)I would love to see what you are making.hint hint.:)
Have a wonderful day! I will keep you both in my prayers.:)

Hugs,
Valinda
